Pc for office party?

I was going to buy up-to-date office PC. I followed the sales assistant advice. To my amazement after unpacking and installing I found out that it was HP Pavilion Media Center TV PC.

It is very powerful etc but I am a bit pissed off.

Does it lack some of the essential features that office PC has?

Shall I keep it?

Wow, lucky you...keep it and enjoy it! It's got added extras (I have a HP computer with "ordinary" XP but my son has a media center one).

do what you want it is your computer
it's not lacking anything, other than it's probably WinXP Home instead of WinXP Professional (more network configurations/security and stuff for the office).

Other than that, it's not lacking but it has too many things, that you probably don't need for the office, such as video players, digital card readers etc.

Mixed feelings as to whether u should keep it or not. If you bought it for cheap, it's probably worth keeping. Otherwise I would say return it, because the overload of un-needed programs can slow the computer down when the resources can be used to run other more important office applications. The other option is to keep it and uninstall all irrelevant programs, but then again why pay for it when u're not going to use them.

hope this helps
