Normally power supply are around 400W...switch to a 450W power supply..ze u can switch on ur TV without a prob...i did ze same wiz my sub-woofer. No prob till nw!!

because your power supply cant handle it anymore
There is too big a load on the power supply.

A TV (even at 12V) uses a lot of current. This is why your PC shuts down.

Silly question :

"Why on earth are you using your PC power supply for a TV ?"

- there are simpler alternatives
